Photographic Workshops
Finally the ultimate outdoor nude workshop is available. Experience a combination of fine art nude photographic learning with the delights of gourmet food and fine Australian wines. Learn year’s worth of photography in a single workshop. Visit magical locations and work with the finest models all under the instruction and guidance of master photographer Gerhardt Thompson. Now available is the rare opportunity to learn from Gerhardt one on one the art of photographing The Sun Drenched Nude.
Why pay good money to attend large workshops designed for the masses. Gerhardt is offering customized workshops designed by the client to fit their needs. Choose the length of your instruction, the type of location, the number of attendees and the number of models. Follow up discussions allow you to discuss with Gerhardt the shoot one on one. All workshops are by appointment only and are designed for a one on one experience.
Gerhardt’s Half Day Workshops
The half day workshops start the day over coffee at Gerhardt’s home where you will discuss the upcoming shoot. You will then travel to a specially chosen location where you will work side by side with Gerhardt. After shooting join Gerhardt for lunch at one of the fine local restaurants and enjoy an in depth discussion over a drinks and fine food. Conclude the day with a debriefing of the photos on a professionally calibrated monitor where you can discuss with Gerhardt the technical aspects of the images captured.
Cost: $1350 AU
Additional attendee $250 AU (max 4 per workshop)
Gerhardt’s Full Day Workshops
The full day workshops start the day over coffee at Gerhardt’s home where you will discuss the upcoming shoots for the day. This workshop offers two shoots, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, thus allowing the client to work in different types of sunlight. You will break for lunch with Gerhardt at one of the fine local restaurants and enjoy an in depth discussion over drinks and fine food. Conclude the day with a debriefing of the photos on a professionally calibrated monitor and discuss the technical aspects of the images captured. Full Day Workshop attendees are cordially invited to join Gerhardt for an eight course gastronomical degustation of fine wines and food, what better way to sit back, relax and discuss the events of the day.
Cost: $2500 AU
Additional attendee $400 AU (max 3 per workshop)
Gerhardt’s Weekend Degustation Experience
This workshop is labeled the ultimate weekend workshop and a learning and degustation experience not to be missed. Join Gerhardt in his home Saturday morning for coffee and discuss the day’s events. On the first day two locations will be hand picked to photograph at. You will break for lunch with Gerhardt at one of the fine local restaurants and enjoy an in depth discussion over drinks and fine food. Enjoy a second shoot with Gerhardt at a different location learning how location and time of day can impact on the light and how it illuminates the nude physique. At the end of this shoot you can freshen up at your 5 star hotel accommodation where a driver will pick you up and bring you to Gerhardt’s home later that evening. Once at Gerhardt’s a debriefing of the photos on a professionally calibrated monitor allows the client to gain a better understanding of the light that day and the resulting images that have been captured. Gerhardt cordially invites you to then join him for an eight course gastronomical degustation of fine wines and food, what better way to sit back, relax and discuss the events of the day and to prepare for the next day. A driver will return you to the hotel.
On Sunday awake to a full breakfast at your hotel. You will be picked up at your hotel and travel to a hand picked location. This is the day where all of the hard work from the day before can be put to use, a chance to perfect what has been achieved the day before all under the one on one guidance and instruction of Gerhardt. Lunch of course follows at one of our fine local restaurants where continued discussions ensue over drinks and food. The workshop concludes with a final visual debriefing on a calibrated monitor.
It goes without say how much a workshop like this can change the way you photograph forever.

Additional Features
The Ultimate Offroad Photographic Adventure. Gerhardt has now partnered with Hellarewe Adventures to offer attendees the ultimate off road experience in combination with a fine art nude photographic workshop. Travel to remote locations in the wilds of the Australian Bush. Suitable for full day workshops and first day of weekend workshops only.
Cost: $500 AU per day
At the request of our clients we can also provide for a fee local 5 star accommodation the night before and/or after a workshop. We can also provide the opportunity to work with multiple models at any one of the photographic sessions. Special locations accessible via motorboat only can be accommadated with some workshops. Rates will be provided when we customize your package.
